Just slapping an 01' R6 together for this weekend. Anyone who has one got any tips etc?

One thing I did do already though was to swap the LH pillion peg and hanger with a 919 900RR one. just slotted the holes a little and presto!

So I take it these things will stunt themselves?

 

i posted the same **** like a week ago and got very little response. i've been stuntin mine for about 2 weeks now and have had no problems

 

I like my R6 but most people would say its not a stunt bike.(its just not "in" right now it used to be 954's and 750's now its F4i's and 636's)
Any bike is stuntable and will break somehow its not the bike its the rider.
Get at least one other fairing stay and subframe since there made out of magnesium(shi7)
And a set of foot pegs and levers since they are the first thing to break once you drop the bike.
On the good side the R6 has plenty of range so you can do lots of wheelies with ease and it has a high BP which can be scary but makes you learn the brake.

How about oil levels and pickups? I'm used to just running a quart over on my RR

 

umm i just put 3 quarts in it says to put in 2 3/4 what is a pickup?

 

he is talking about an oil pick up peep.Will he need one ect ect

 

im trying to find a pickup, i'm not sure that anyone makes one

 

if you have a bar on it dont leave it on the bar too long or you will be chugging smoke out the tail pipe...other than that rock that sh%t.

 

Oh someone on here told me that theres a way you can block oil from doing that.
Its in a thread about GSXR oil pumps. I'll see if I can find it.
