broken gsxr subframe

i was about to brace my subframe, already bought the steel stock...but tonight i had a slight mishap. was doing a ss about to jump to spreader and snap bye bye subframe. it was slightly cracked from falling off the bike doing a sitdown nohander (don't ask ) earlier this lovely afternoon. and now for your viewing pleasure..

oh and the 04-05 660/750 subframe fits right??

Re: broken gsxr subframe

These subframes dont hold up well to the crashes...I finally cut a 1/8th aluminum plate and welded it over the triangle of each side of the subframe...Just had to drill the holes out..Worked like a charm..Held up for about 2 months and about 30 slow speed crashes..
Clutch side finally broke again this weekend but def made it stronger...

Cheers

Re: broken gsxr subframe

No I have a friend who is a real good aluminum welder..He does all of our bikes for us...The mod I did seemed to make it alot stronger...Finally one side did break again but it was after alot of circle crashes and about 2 months of heavy stunt use..
I'll post pics for ya later on tonight if you'd like...

Cheers
