I just got the FI for my 04 GSXR 750 we will see how that turns out i have friends who have dropped it hard a few times before theirs even bent.... im confident that it will hold its own..

anyway. i cant believe you bought a cage without doing research..LOL...you ***. i have a FI on my 929 and the thing has been backflipped doing 50 and put down on its side going 90....and its straight. no cracks. nothing. so yah they def. do work. plus i think they look the best on the 929..its all edgy straight lines that kinda go with the body's lines. instead of this big circular ****in tube bar of a 905. but we know those work good cuz you can run over a Gsxr1g with a mk. 5 jetta and nothing happens !!!! :YEAH

I ordered one to, after seeing a 954 in a video slide over 100 yards with a FI cage and the only thing touching the ground was the cage! Sssssssold!!!

 

"ive had to re weld subframe tabs becasuse of the FI on the 954. go with MXD, powers or a 905 on a 954. on the 954, the subframe tabs are 1/2" think aluminum, very easy to snap off.

we just redesigned our 954s so they dont hit shins or anything like that too."

Looking at some Darius films I noticed his FI cage is not connected to the subframe tabs at all. it's bolted to the frame near the tabs, but not to the tabs.

That design should work

I think they should run the arms on the cage to the swingarm hole with some all-thread. But my FI has'nt broken off my tabs where my subframe bolts up...yet.

Fi Cage On 929 Is Mint...i Have Had The Same Cage For Over A Year Now No Problems.

 

i had a fi on my 900..........no good for that particular bike.........i think 905 is better in general though......

 

MXD the only crash cage out there the rest r ROLL CAGES the thing has gone through a lot this summer still in great shape
