Large Scale Tokyo Japan Stunt Event

Everyone, I would like your inputs on an idea myself and several large name promoters are considering here in Japan.

If large payout for wins and individual awards can be offered, would alot of you all be interested in coming to Japan to compete? I am currently working one a provision that if pre entry is confirmed our sponsors will pay to ship you bike here for the event. Alot of other details are in the works and pending approval.

I just want to gauge if this would work out for any of you. Also it is very probable that support from a major airline will be granted for discount rates.

This is no joke, it will be expensive but for those of you and your teams that are that good the rewards will prove worthy.

Thanks in advance for all your inputs. This is very serious topic for us so we appreciate all your ideas and considerations. Also if any companies you know may be interested in support for the event please let me know. JRF

You can email directly if you desire, jstyle@j-styleinc.com

go go go!! Japaneses are da best, when they get somebody as a totem they do/pay whatever for him/her (Beckham 4 example). So you know Darius, Kane & co. this is a good deal 4 you, a nice opportunity to be more rich than you're now

I bet the payouts would be good, and the fan base would be crazy. Alot of fighters try their hardest to get fights across the big lake because the payouts and fans are just that much better.

Re: Large Scale Tokyo Japan Stunt Event

the Brunnell brothers, Kyle Woods, and JOe Dryden have already been touring Guam and Sipan....the expense alone in airfare was rediculous let alone shipping bikees ect...it is definitely a great offer but i do not see anyone being able to make it.

if you want US riders to come i think you need to go a different route. Let me know if your interested in talking to me. I have been helping arrange a lot of out of the country tours lately.

Re: Large Scale Tokyo Japan Stunt Event

Yeah I heard about this, because I also assist in Guam with promotions. I wish I would have known they were going there I am close with Continental Airlines and also Horizon shipping in Guam and they would have done this free or at a nice discount so the promoter would have paid everything. But Guam is small and the revenue's created for a specialized event are 50/50 at best.
Japan on the other hand worships the extreme. Ask JB, when we brought him here in April and when he did a cliffhanger 30,000 people gasped what a sound! He stole the show the other riders were completely envious. Some Japanese guys that knew about him trekked over 800 kms just to see him and when they met him one damn near passed out! The smiles and respect Jason got was just amazing.

Re: Large Scale Tokyo Japan Stunt Event

Ok since this seems to be going over well with most of you that have contacted me, I will do my best to ensure procurement of shipping and hotel expenses. This should limit each riders need to only pay thier airfare. (I will work with the airlines to line up some sweet rates on that as well)

Additionally, pending corporate support we are looking to do this in the spring of 2006.

Re: Large Scale Tokyo Japan Stunt Event

Would you should try and do is borrow some bikes from over there and let the riders set the up how they want so all they have to do is take a plane over there intead of worrying about thier bike. it would probably be cheap that way too.

why? If the guy says he can get the bike shipped for free then who cares? I'm sure they would all rather ride their own bikes.

EDIT: I just checked expedia.com for airfaires. You can get a ticket to Japan, for like 1300. Which isn't that bad. Especially if this guy can hook you up with deals. Depending on what the payout it, it would probably be VERY much worth it for some people to go over there and ride.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Send the top US stunters and clean house.

Or is it U.S riders VS U.S. Riders?

Re: Large Scale Tokyo Japan Stunt Event

It will be open competition for all world riders wanting to attend. We have found in the past that unlike FMX where we can provide a bike and then the rider just changes the suspension for themselves....stunt riders prefer thier own machine rather than getting used to something new. Also breaking in the tires and let's face it alot of the bikes end up hitting the ground because of the bad *** manuevers that are attempted so I would have a hard time explaining to shops and owners thatthe bike may or may not come back in good condition....so provided that the riders can spare a bike to ship over here for the event and back then that is the best senario.

Oh and the airfare will be cheaper I will get support rates. Or pending sponsorship involvement we may be able to provide further discounted or free tickets. Just depends on support.

Re: Large Scale Tokyo Japan Stunt Event

Actually with the sponsors that have already approved support and the pending involvement of others is the only reason I started advising of this. It will happen! I am doing my best now to eliminate as much cost as possible to each rider. This is a collaborative effort that supports the sport and promotes it in the best respect. I want to work with the other competition event coordinators on this so we can improve the sport and it's visibility. Thus creating a truely postive light on all aspects. While encouraging the companies, promoters, riders, sponsors, and media to work together on this.

Re: Large Scale Tokyo Japan Stunt Event

I think every one thats good enough to compete in this, should do everything in their power to do this. Stop whining about money.....you may only get a chance like this once. Japan has huge enthusiasm for stuff like this. Give it a shot
