Power Wheelie?

I can't seem to figure out how to power wheelie my 05 GSXR 1000, I don't think it will do it, does anyone have any pointers?

Re: Power Wheelie?

The best tip I've heard is to put helium in the front tire.

Re: Power Wheelie?

I'd try tying a lot of balloons to my front fender...I saw this Mythbusters...it took like 7000 balloons to lift a 44 pound little girl. So you'd want at least 50,000 of those biatches up front.

And put a sandbag under the passenger seat, that's what I do and it works great.

Re: Power Wheelie?

buy a balance point, and make sure to move your brake controller so you don't go to far back

get rolling about 5mph in first gear, pull in the clutch, twist the throttle wide open, drop the clutch (cover your front brake)

Why on earth would you have to cover the front brake, The 05 Gixxer 1 will not pull the front wheel even if you red line and drop it.

Re: Power Wheelie?

yea the gsxr1000's have a defective front wheel lifter clamp tie down sprocket-amagig.. Your gonna need to get a new one of those.. Also, I heard from someone that if you were to wrap a steel bar around the rear spoke and try it then it SHOULD work.. but you have to hit it just right...

Re: Power Wheelie?

Try adjusting the chain so there is a lot of slack, get to about 10mph and burp the gas, then see what happens!!!
