Which has better credibility? streetfighter or sportbike

What's the general feeling towards Streetfighters. I like streetfighters but it's not easy jumping back and forth between the 2 styles. If you train on a steetfighter does a guy doing the same tricks on a sportbike get more credit?

Define Streetfighter?

I've not seen one streetfighter on this forum.. just bikes that have been crashed and not repaired up fully.

A removed upper/lower fairing does not make a streetfighter!

But for a comparion between stock look and renthal bars... well stock fairings do look cooler to stunt but when it comes down to it you gotta ride it how you like it.. all stunting is impressive whatever the bike, just keep it on one wheel

Personally I don't like standard bars with no upper. Can't stand it, never have liked it.

No fairing is fine if you get renthals.. but if you keeping the stock sports bars then keep the upper

Re: Which has better credibility? streetfighter or sportbike

I've got an acerbis headlight, and DB bars, left the side fairings and lowers on. Does that count???

I love the way my 600RR is set up, no matter what someone wants to label it.

I'm more impressed with someone scraping highchair and riding circles on a 50 than someone riding 50' 900mph power wheelies on a full-faired or streetfighter.

Re: Which has better credibility? streetfighter or sportbike

to clarify... streetfighters are not sportbikes with missing plastics. they're custom sportbikes, tuned and tricked with the most radical **** they can put together. streetfighters have a sort of attitude about them.

this is one:

and then that part i said about attitude

Re: Which has better credibility? streetfighter or sportbike

it aint the bike, its the rider. a solid rider can stunt whatever they put their hands on. No more credit should be given to one or the other. If you still have a fully stock bike, you're either not doing any hard ****, or you have the money to keep putting it back to stock. but at some point in time, you rode a crunchy piece. we all have...

I like doing/seeing shiat on a full fairing bike, it looks like you have more to lose. That being said, I'm too lazy to put my fairings back on, so mine is staying 'streetfightered' for a while.

Re: Which has better credibility? streetfighter or sportbike

Originally Streetfighters were crashed sports bikes that had some cheap parts thrown on them to get them road-worthy again. It wasn't long before people started purposely doing it to their bikes, and putting style on it, like the pictures of the custom bikes you see above.

If your sport bike has the plastics stripped off it, and DB bars, with an acerbis type headlight, then I would certainly consider it a streetfighter. It's just street slang. You can't find it in the dictionary.

Re: Which has better credibility? streetfighter or sportbike

My bike is all custom right now and I am even going for a custom 1500 airbrush job.. With that said, I still love the streetfighter look. It just makes it look like the damage was earned, a lot of hours in practice, falls, pain, etc... Trust me, I wouldnt consider myself a stunter by no means, but if anything were to happen to my "Pretty" bike, I would go SF... I would even get different colored Zip Ties to accent the dirt!!!
I think its all in the riders preference... The worst thing is for someone to go SF and not do Shiat. Thats when there is a problem.. Just my

Streetfighters rock. No matter the definition. It's just a raw look. Whether it's all polished up or a crunchy bike never fixed.

I'm the inbetween of the two.

But nothing beats a guy rocking a full fairing bike doing circles.

Here's my streetfighter.

Where do you all find the Mx bars I have been looking for them so far for my F2 and had no luck. If anyone has a website that has them that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ken

Or you can just weld risers to your top clamp.

I like the LSL pieces though.

Re: Which has better credibility? streetfighter or sportbike

It is pricey but even myself being a fabricator I didn't feel like welding risers on the top clamp and farting around.

I have the LSL and Renthal Fatbars. They're nice.

Damn, not a whole lot aprarently.. Where are they located at? My bike right now is House of Kolor Blue pearl, I want like a storm scene on it. Lightening, rain, lots of water, just have someone go crazy on it. What does the airbrushing start at?

Exactly. Your bikes your bike. How you ride it is how you ride it.
