bar tricks are fun, and a good thing to have in the bag.. not too many people are profficient at them. not to mention that during a show. or competition having a full bag is key.
bartricks helped patrick stephens kick all our asses at the houston actions sports tour event back in january.. (wasnt the only reason dont get me wrong.. he did a lot of things right!)
this sport in my opinion is designed for show offs.
the question is who do you want to show off for?
the crowd? then yes bar tricks are awesome
the other 15 hater stunters more worried about impressing each other with how many circles they can do?

I think bar tricks are cool if you are doing a show. I think they are very easy and should not be used in comp. they are not a very technical trick.
