What's your obsession with liter bikes? Just get a 600 if you're going to be doing slow wheelies. I had a 954 and while I only had -1 +5, it made me scared to do a first gear wheelie it was so powerful, and with my F2 I can play with the throttle a lot more without having to worry about jerking the bike and flipping.

Re: To much power? or an oxymoron?

I have tried both and a 600 is 1000 times easier to stunt. 1000s are too twitchy and the gearing is to high for really slow stuff, but you can't gear them or they will be insanely twitchy. 600s are more than enough power for almost anything. if you need a 1000 to show off to people who think 600s are slow then don't stunt it. get a 600 also If you think you cant afford two bikes you are wrong. it is cheaper to buy a 600 stunt bike than to repair the damages to a 1000 that you are trying to learn to stunt.

it can and has been done, but i wouldnt.

you have to remember, the thing was made to be one of the lightest, fastest bike available, and making things light usually also means making them thinner and therefore weaker. the things that need to be durable on a stuntbike are vastly different than things that need to hold up on a racebike(which the r1 is meant to be).

that is the explanation right there. close the thread your question has been answered.

subframe is not welded to frame, what are you talking about

i have an 04 r1 taken apart right now, def. not welded together, and the subframe is beefy as hell for as small as it is, its one cast piece
