Jay Carnes will become famous soon enough
nothing is impossible to stunt - but the R1 is much harder. My boy tony from Reckless Methods Ripped the tail off my 2002 R1 - but he doesn't count. Real twitchy, very unstable. Just my opinion. Lots of power though.
good luck bro

u can stunt the **** out of whatever...
the bike means literally nothing.
Guys just think R1's are loose cuz they're used to a RR or whatever...
But the thing is u got better brakes, better motor, a lighter bike to throw around, it just takes some getting used to... Darius (#1 stunna) stunts the hell out of an R1.
He's a freak, but it just shows what u can do with one....

Yeah but here is the deal, you learn to stunt an R1 and stunt it hard, you'll be able to stunt anything. Start on any other bike and then jump to an R1....yeah you got it........you aint got ****........hahahahhaa...........HATERZ

I ride an 02 R1 and i like the smooth power, You can tug on the bar at 3000rpm and it'll come right up in first gear with stock sprockets. Most other bikes have to be at a much higher rpm. they do take some getting used to. I haven't tried to much slow **** on it , slowest i've been is bout 15 mph wheelie but it was ok for that. Just my 2 cents

Only older models, not the newer ones. Go for a gixxer.

to be honest.. i loved the slow **** on it... it was a little twitchy.. but good response... where youd drop a 900RR the r1 could come right back no problem... even down to like 5 mph...

BUT the bike sux of over the bar ****..

get a 929 or 900 or be cool like me and ride a garbage f4i.. lol

i ride both an R1 and a gsxr i like the gsxr better the R1 has alot of power and coming down 100+ from a wheelie into a tank slapper is not good

'02 R1.. I haven't got a single real tankslapper yet. Actually none at all in the last few months. It's about how you land that wheelie. CBR900RR's will slap you silly. I've gone down in a serious tankslapper on that bike.. it threw me off the bike.

So far, the R1 is the most easy bike to wheelie with, but to hold a wheelie it's a completely another thing.

Holy CRAP! It's raining.. I thought Cali was about Sun and babes..
