I'm guessing this is directed partly at me, in that case **** off. This is a message board. A way to talk to other consumers, if POWERS doesn't want a bad image then they should treat there customers right, everything worked out in the end anyways and I was also in constant contact with them on the phone. I've never made a post complaining about the durability of a cage, afterall they are meant for crashing on. If you have a problem with what a person is posting why not address the poster instead of the entire message board? I'm sure there are 094380958439543 people that are sick of reading threads like this too.

Im with Nick on this one. Poor customer service needs to get called out publicly. Cages should fit on easily. Potential customers deserve to know this ****.

 

Well i can honestly say i dont give a crap because ive always built my own cages.The only way i would use any of the cages out there is if they give me one....Ive seen most of the designs they are all designed pretty well some alittle better than others.They all seem to serve their purpose one way or the other.Any time you say the word CRASHCAGE your gonna hear garbage so why start this thread.

 

yeah I gotta go with Nick on this one also except for the durability issue. Meaning if you crash your cage and your s**t breaks well thats just to damn bad. Anyway I've been trying to get a cage for almost 4 weeks from a paticular vendor and its always something - I understand waiting a few weeks for a specialty product but a month is a little ridiculous. I realize stunting is a relatively new deal but this (meaning lack of vendor organization) is the kinda stuff that limits the growth of our sport.

 

This doesn't relate only to cages, it's something that should be done for ANY company that is selling products to the public, especially the stunt community which use to be a lot more close nit sort of "family". People want to hear reviews when they are in the market for the same product so they don't end up buying a POS... especially when most stunters are broke as it is. The **** bag companies that don't take care of their customers don't need to be in this industry, this is one way to weed them out... and in saying that I'm not pointing any fingers as everything worked out in the end. Especially with my new 636, she is a *****: Powers cage, FI bar, 905 fairing stay, Fullthrottle handbrake, All I need is some MXD ****

 

wow are we a lil self contious or what??? this is directed at everyone in general,slander is not cool ,but your right people should know whats up,but 1million threads on it no ,post on one of those ,and i'm 26 yrs,old i own nwstuntbike.com i hand build cages and bars,and i'm a full time stunter thats all i do,i have respect for the other companies cuz metal work is an art and should be treated as such,as far as customer service yeah like i said that sucks,oh well thats there decision to do bad biz,but my point is just quit *****in abou the same things,i get new people in this sport everyday and i tell them check out s/l you'll find everything out you need to know,but they get back to me with ''dude whats with all the hateing on each other and bashing companies and peoples skill'' and ya know what thats all this is,hate life ,IS IT TO MUCH TO ASK FOR A HATE FREE SECTION??? Slander is not cool. I DO agree however that it is a good idea to post up experiences with products and service on forums like this, positive OR negative. As long as they are fair, honest and all matters are dealt with before the opinion is posted.

I understand what NW is getting at though. There are alot of **** talking, bandwagon jumpers on here posting opinions before they have had the time to form them. THOSE guys are giving everyone with honest critisism a bad name.

 

as far as cost and time , it takes me anywhere from 5 hrs-2 days to do a cage depending on distrations ya know life in general,and it costs me anywhere from 50 to 75$$$$ in material,so i don't answer my phone somtimes but the people understand that up front it takes longer to get one of my cages but it's worth it, so maybe these other guy's should just be upfront and say look just cuz i miss some calls don't mean i hate you it just means we're busy i don't know i can't speak for them i'm just sayin stop the hateing and start the bum hummin

 

I'm with you 100% on all the hate around here, that's in part why I asked you how old you were, seems all the haters are the younger kids without bikes. I have respect for anyone who can build a cage, lol... that's why I buy mine cause I sure as hell couldn't make it. I agree with you on all the durability posts, even if you wreck your cage on 1 crash, you just lost $250ish instead of the thousands it would have done if you didn't have it. To me that's worth it. Poor customer service on the other hand has no excuse.

Nobody makes a cage for my bike....(YZF600r).. so i don't have one...

 

Freestyle Ingenuity and 905, regardless of your negative opinions, deserve nothing but gratitude. I know so many people being supported by these two entities, and I'm sure I only know the half.....If that. Too many people rely solely on their cages. I remember blowing my back out to hold my bike from a fall so I wouldn't break a stator or lever. Pansys. I see people run from their falling bike like scared little girls......and then cry like babies on this forum because their cage didn't save the world. Practice. Take your time, there's no deadline that I know of and if your bike does fall over during a circle wheelie, don't be afraid to act like a man.
