This may be a stupid question...if its comming from me it will most likely be. Just was wondering whats up with half the riders not wearing visors on their helmet or MX helmets with no goggles? when ever Im out riding with my visor up i catch **** flying in my eyes. Dust, sand, and all that other yummy **** that ticles my retinas. Is it just that NY is dirtier than every place else

 

Most of the time I'm going so slow it really isn't a factor. Plus it helps cool your head a little,.

 

When I'm at the spot I've been taking my visor off lately for a couple reasons. 1, I have a tinted visor and it could easily get damaged in a crash. And 2, my vision is just a little bit less obstructed without it.

 

dammit man, always wear your visor....i got smacked by a big *** locust on 95 headin upto NC, felt like a rock, NOT WORTH IT

 

If I am going 25-45 I have my visor up....just to let in some air and cool off..but if I am on the highway...always down

 

ok well u dont use a helmet with out a visor for anything but kinda slow stuff. point is u dont need it for slow stuff, it just gets in the way. alot of peoples **** always falls down when they land and stuff like that. i have two different helmets one for stunting at the spot and one for the streets. visors tend to get ripped off sometimes durring stunts too.....soooooo

yo i would always ride wit mu visor up then i got sik of **** in my eyes and wreckn and breakin visors (they not cheap) so i just got used to ridin wit the visor down Guess its just wat u like or feel comfortable wit

 

I got an MX helmet for the spot and a good one for getting there.

 

like they say, visors are expinsive. wind caught mine once on the highway, thats all it took

 

I see in some vids guys rollin on the expressway with MX helmets or without visors, is that just dun for the vid then?

I caught a june bug to the cheek...but it didnt die instead it became my furry little pissed off friend and crawled all over my fackin head inside my helmet till i finally pulled over and shook it outta there.

riding with my visor up last summer goin about 20-25, took a bee to the eye. and by eye, i mean eyeball. once ya do that, you wear shades, at least... nothing fun about a bruised cornea. except vicodin.

I dont rock a visor because my sh*t broke off and Im too lazy to go buy another. but I do wear glasses under my helmet to keep them damn bugs and critters out my eyes . Gotta protect yourself somehow
