Stunting till your hand falls off

Re: Stunting till your hand falls off
My elbow has been jacked since I bent it sidways and then shattered it. I havent let the tendons heal so they are always inflamed. I was told to take 600mb of ibuprofen every 4 hours for a couple weeks so the inflamation would go away long enough for the **** to heal. But I have the same problems. At night after riding my arm catches on fire and keeps me up for hours.. it sucks.

Re: Stunting till your hand falls off
maybe you guys should try some pain killlers?
i do get semething like that on my forearms when ever i ride a really long wheelie, but some pain killers beforehand always seem to help
not much, just a lil asprin might help
and maybe you should beat off with the other hand like paw paw said!

I also get very sharp pains in my hand.. The large part that the thumb connects to.. I even get that from just regular riding.. I get it so bad after about 20 mins on the highway that I need to use my left hand for the throttle a lot.

Re: Stunting till your hand falls off
i get wicked bad arm pump as well. If i ride every day of the week or once a week. I put way too much pressure on my hands when I ride. I gotta take some of the weight off, whenever i do wheelies. Should I be standing up more than hangin off the handle bars? I feel like i'm gunna fall off cause my arms are killing me, and my hands are cramped.

In my case, i think it is mostly do to covering the clutch lever during all wheelies. Having my index finger extended and ready to pull the clutch lever at all times. While the rest on my fingers are holding onto the clip-on and using the muscles in a different way. I guess? i dunno...

Re: Stunting till your hand falls off
I had carpel symptoms last summer, I had TL1000 and it vibrated like hell. Long drive and just the vibration made it worst, bit.. to sleep when your hand is tincling.
I have heard that you can get carpel also from computer keyboard and mouse usage. From vibrating tools and just stressing the arm.
Tissue around the carpel tunnel swells up and pinches the nerves. Anti inflammation pain killers may help, because they bring the swelling down.
I found out that by using the stock bar ends(cancel vibration better then lighter bar ends) helped, also using thicker glowes helped. Also trying to keep throttle hand straight during long drives and not to keep too much pressure on the hands.
I don't even do push ups with bent wrist, I use cluckles.
One thing that helps for sure is street fighter bars. Less pressure to the wrist during stoppies, braking, landing from wheelies.
I had multipurpose bike and with those bars I never had any problems.

I think carpel and arm pump is different thing. Carpel is swallen tissue and pinched nerves, arm pump is more like tired muscles.? Hell I don't know

Re: Stunting till your hand falls off
Sammy, go see a specialist and have him stick his finger up your butt.
Is is mainly when you do circles, I noticed that when I practice just one particular trick over and over that my hands get tired faster so I'll switch it up more and put my foot in the bar for 30 min till my hands don't feel tired anymore.
It might also be the mad cow disease that you got from selling to much country western gear ;P
