GJ man!!!! congrats i remember teh first time i did a wheelie. i was on a adrenaline rush for hours. now that you did it once, give yourself a half hour and youll be doing it all day long. keep practicing.

It honestly only gets easier.. keep at it steady, and the height will come naturally.... I suggest learning standing staggerd though. Once you get over the wierdness of it, it makes it soooo much more comfortable when you get it up high.

...yup, get used to the feeling of it coming up while you are sitting down first.
Then when you don't get so scared that you slam the throttle shut every time, try staying on the gas a bit longer.
Then when you can ride a low/medium height sitdown a little ways, I'd move on to staggered.
I got to the point where I could consistently clutch up staggered / ride it a little bit before I looped it. (see it @ www.sektorxii.com) Learn the rear break before you really push it.

Yup, good stuff man! The best thing to do now, before you learn other methods and have to un-learn them is to use the rear brake. Anytime you get a wheelie that comes up too high for your comfort zone, use the brake to set it down instead of letting off the gas, that way later, when they are at balance point, you will already have the brake action down, and wont loop out/destroy your bike and yourself. The only thing left is progression!!!!!!!!
