Question 04 zx636 or 05 r6

I want to buy a bike soon and wanted to know which one to get. I will be stunting it as well as just riding. Its going to be the 2004 zx636, or the 2005 r6. Any problems with any of these bikes, comfort, which one can take more abuse, and what bike would be easer to learn stuff on. Thanks

I would get an '04 636 if you want to get more into stunting, but they are uncomfortable as hell to me. An r6 would be a better bike if you wanted to cruise around and pop a wheelie on occasion, but they are hard to stunt. F4i's are bad @$$ stunt bikes and good all around (and comfy!!)

Re: 04 zx636 or 05 r6

R6 is a great bike, but from what i've heard people say they suck to stunt. But they are definitely awesome machines. Light, totally flickable, and not to bad as far as comfort goes. I've never ridden a 636, but you see more and more guys using them as stunt bikes. I guess they are really twitchy on the streets though, and don't handle rough pavement very well...

I guess it all depends what you really want to do. If you plan on just having a clean sport bike and ripping wheelies and stoppies I would probably go for the yami, but if you want to scrape with it, and throw technical stuff I'd get the kawi and throw a cage on it.

Re: 04 zx636 or 05 r6

I have ridden and stunted all of the new 600's. The gix is good as always expected from suzuki. The 636 is super pimp, torquey, balances great and is fairly strong. The F4i is sweet to ride, strong motors, the ones i road felt good. The R6 was good too, balanced really good, subframes look weak (just like the gixxers).

I guess what im saying is all of the new 6's are good stunters, if i had to pick i would get the 636. 2nd choice would be the F4i (or maybe the gix, im partial to them cause GSXR's are what i ride now) My main issue w/ the new gix and R6 is the weak subframe.

Re: 04 zx636 or 05 r6

The only person who can determine a bikes comfort for you is YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! R6 is a great bike but very super sport race inspired and twitchy throttle, the 636 would be better suited for over all riding, jus' my two cents............Go to yer' local bike shop, sit on the bikes, see what fits you...do demo rides if possible......Noone else can tell you what bike is good for you!!!!! :YEAH

Re: 04 zx636 or 05 r6

personally i stunt my 03 R-6 and the only problem I've found is the subframe will brake way to easy. The R-6 in my opinion is a great stunt bike comes up easy and can hit the BP easy also. never rode a 636 though so can judge it
