You got a bunch of cursing, inappropriate topics, and just down right UNPROFESSIONAL things going on in front of the crowd. Am I the only one that see little kids and familys in the stands????????????
I'm just wondering when everyone is going to grow up, and put on an appropriate show based on who you are advertising it to. You want a family then leave the THUGS at home. You want a bunch of drunk college students so everyone can run around doing whatever, then leave the families out of it.

Gotta realize it's about being professional, and appropriate for the people present. I mean would you take your little kid to a strip club...... NO..... then all the ****** need to keep their clothes on, and the talk needs to be appropriate for all ages, if that's who's going to be there.

This is why I believe stunting has years to go before it becomes a pro sport...if it ever does. Too much BS and drama associated with stunters. Kinda like Nags...who I like and respect by the way...riding a f*cking wheelie down the road in an oncoming traffic lane. Yeah, way to make stunters look professional!

Think about it guys...no one is going to pay big money for a bunch of, what they percieve to be, TROUBLE MAKERS.

Re: Stuntwars *****ing..Some Observations

For my first big bike and stunting event, I can say that as in awe as I was of the environment, several things happened that pissed me off, and one of them was that announcer. He would just start TALKING in the middle of someone's show, like, y'know, the guy wasn't out there, busting his ***. Disrespectful. And where we we were seated during the quals on Friday, a group of riders had gathered. That fat bastage kept saying their name over, and over, and over, and over, and CHRIST WE GET IT WE SEE THEM. I looked at one of them and offered to throw a bottle at his head, and he told me he almost wanted me to do it.

What really, really pissed me off though was the judges. I payed as much attention as humanly possible to almost each and every performance, because that's what I was there to do, damnit. If someone is going to do his damndest to put on a show, then I'm going to watch and give him the attention he deserves. The judges were walking around, talking to people, talking on phones, not even WATCHING them during quals and competition. Who the HELL hired Good Charlotte to judge the show, anyways? They had these little sneers on their faces like they had better places to be the entire time, from what I saw. I understand it's hot, it's taking a long time, your phone is ringing - but guess what? You obviously got the position of judging for a REASON. If you didn't want to do it, you should have let someone WHO DID.

As for the unprofessionalism.. I really sort of expected a lot more than I saw. I mean, I didn't see the burning palm tree of god coming, not by a mile, but at least nobody stole a cop car or something.

Re: Stuntwars *****ing..Some Observations

Very inspiring words from a born leader Teach.

After reading everything since Sundaynight, I'm glad Todd posted up! Stuntwarz is the largest talked about Stunt event i've ever heard of. It would be a shame not to see things continue to grow. Hopefully everyone fills out the suggestion forms and the problems can be addressed for next year!!! Thats if the town and the dragstrip will have it and us back.

i am a rider...But will always be a fan first!

Mad shout out to all the riders and supporters who made the treck to both the Houston and Florida events within the last 30 days! That in my opinion is dedication :YEAH

I went to SW last year also and I think it was Todd Colbert on the mic, it was much better.
BTW, I live in Lakeland and all the BS at the hotel and **** did was make trouble for us locals. Thanks guys
Yehhh I agree when he started sayin that **** all I could think of was that "Ask Gary" commerical .... dis is ____ (forgot her name) anyways.... Dont be skurred & confused call 1800 akx gaurry (sorry couldnt even spell it as F*d up as she says it ! hah !) Not bein rude but its more than just arguing on the mike - i mean geez... In a way I wanted to laugh not at the fact he was on the track or whatever b/c that could have been bad.... but at the fact that chubbz was talkin tough tryin to call him out like "mid getaway" what was he hopin for that guy to stop, get off the bike, throw a few punches and then continue on his run from security...........
Oh and P.S. I live here too. After gettin kicked out of hooters, then luckys...and then a certain someone was just tryin to get me in cuffs again at the hotel ...hah.. lets try taggin a cop car w/ them right there... SUPER DRUNK....geez...IDIOT.... I can't really complain and say that you made the cop situation worse for us now that all the stunters are gone and the locals are left....def can't blame you guys for the cops bein diks - they're always like that - Lakeland PD sucks and so does the Polk County Sheriff Office... Polk county's finest - woot woot ! There was not a stunter around and i still managed to get pulled on my way to breakfast the next mornin.... ............Oh well.... SW WEEKEND WAS STILL A BLAST !!!!!!!!

Re: Stuntwars *****ing..Some Observations

my big issues where:

crashing during your run and you still qualified/placed.

(had people been disqualified for wrecking i would have been 3rd place. stuntwars owes me what!? ... $500, and a plaque)

I mean my team and i did drive over 7000 miles in the last month and gas sure aint cheap. only reasons we drove from california for the event was the assumption that it was the most proffessional and planned out, and publicized event of the year. (that and to ride with everyone during the week prior, meet people and get tore up)

im not trying to make a stink over it.. just pointing out some inconsistencies... 3rd,5th, 15th place whatever doesnt mean anything in the end... i was happy just to qualify.

---

one other really big issue is allowing tadmen tricks during sickest trick. thats f*ckin gay.. why have a tandem stunt comp during the event and then again allow tandem stunts during sickest trick. in my eyes that is total sandbagging and takes away from the effort of the solo riders...

not everyone is always going to be happy with the way things are run and go on. i understand that. all in all i found stuntwars to be a very good event, and amazing turn out and i am very glad my team n i were able to make it. i do plan on going next year...

Re: Stuntwars *****ing..Some Observations

So, after reading all of this stuff, pondering a lot of things, talking with Thomas, talking with Chubbs, talking with everyone's father, Colbert; I have come up with a few final thoughts ala Jerry Springer. (lol)

Being a man and taking responsibility for my actions, as well as admitting when I am in the wrong, is something that I take seriously.

First off, I want to apologize publicly for saying that chubbs blows goats on the mic…it was disrespectful and rude, and is not the way I like to normally carry myself. There are right and wrong ways to get your point across, and unfortunately, chose the latter. That was simply some frustration in myself and some other things that was coming out, and was not the point of my thread. I know how hard the mic can be and I did shoot my mouth off to a certain extent BEFORE I knew some important facts. -- Chubbs' job was not to be the announcer, he was the hype guy, so I stand corrected in pointing the blame in his direction only. Him and I have both spoken and are cool, as it should be.

I never intended (although it came out that way) to personally attack chubbs, team xtreeme, the 'boyz, or big dave (after all, it is stupid to bite the hand that feeds you-colbert puts this event on, the 'boyz opened the doors for all of us, and dave gives us all love in Two Wheel Tuner).

I succeeded somewhat in the point of my thread, which was to bring attention to some deficiencies that I felt were detrimental to not only this particular event, but our sport as a whole. SW is perhaps the sing biggest event with the most national coverage of the year, and I know that the people running this event put many, many hours of time into it and did the best they could. However, I still think there are some problems that need to be addressed and I will speak to Todd about those things.

I believe in speaking my mind, and feel that too often, people only complain to each other after the fact…so I took it upon myself to speak up and voice the concerns of myself and others-with my name attached to my words, so there would be no thinking that I was talking **** behind people's back or whatever.

I honestly believe that the problems we all feel are there, will be addressed by the whole teamxtreem crew and SW '06 will be that much better…although there are always going to be complaints with the judging, etc at pretty much any event.

Sooooooo, that novel being written, I think we all have addressed the issues at hand and made our voice heard to those who needed to hear it….i look forward to making things better for all of us and beating everyone next year!

thanks for your understanding and a personal thanks to chubbs for seeking me out and straightening all of this out instead of stooping to a lower level or whatever!

Teacher out.

this might sound like a broken record but i keep seeing posts saying thomas should have been on the mic....that would seem like a logical solution to that problem right.....correct me if i am wrong

sickest trick is anything goes!! this has been discussed in years past and the consensus is just what i said, anything goes! i never heard woods complain when we beat him last year. actually, we got nothin' but love from the guy. i ain't tryin' to start sh*t but this is nothing new.
