Don't police entrap people like that all the time on the show "COPS"?
saw the best cops show ever when I couldn't sleep:
A cop was chasing a dirtbike and followed him onto some old abandoned railroad tracks that were in between tracks being used. He blew a tire and got stuck, and was freaking out thinking his squad car was gonna get hit. They finally towed it off at the expense of a tie-rod, there were like 5-6 other cops who showed up to make-fun of him. stupid

As far as stealing bikes goes, my buddies Erior 929 got stolen from in front of his girls house last year..............sux b/c he got a brand new GSXR750.........he wants his 929 back since the upper fairing stay snapped and the foot peg broke from some girl dropping it in the parking lot<---not even moving!!!! Just because you have insurance, it doesn't always help that much.....unfortunately.

Re: Stuntwars bike theft.

I blew a clutch-baskett on my gixxer roadrace bike on a freeway clutchin up a highchair. Walked home literally like 20 miles during rush hour. No one would pick up the guy walking w/ the helmet. Couple of Harley drove by, one even laughed out loud at me....he got caught at a light and I ran w/ everytyhing I had to catch him and pull him off bike but he got a green B4 I made it.

Anyway, 5 minutes after I walk in the door...I get a phone call.
It's a riding buddy. Wants to know if I know the guys that are loading MY bike into the back of their pickup truck Says they say they are buddies of mine and I asked them to load it, even though they got my name wrong.
My buddy is 6'2 and about 250....he made them unload the bike then load it into his truck

Lucky thing is this was a racebike, so only liabilty on it...AND it was a sponsored bike...I didnt even own it....Man, that could've turned out really bad/expensive 4 me

Re: Stuntwars bike theft.

i still like the idea of a protected fence, run it like a "coat service" at finer restraunts. you pull the bike in, pay a small fee, you get a number, you only get the bike if you return with your number, one way in and one way out, that sounds like it would work to me. why hasnt this been done????

someone said they seen 2 bikes with keys in it, well one of them was prolly mine, cuz its just "force habit" to leave it in. we went up to the staging area for team event and i left my key in mine, a fellow honest stunter seen it was my bike and took the key out and found me and gave it to me, i didnt even think about it...

p.s. the show was off the chain iof you missed it better be ther for 06.
I had a disc lock and Kryptonite chain around my rear wheel. That isnt going to guarantee it not to be stonen, but it sure deters the prospect of it. The last thing I wanted was to trailer my bike 1,500 miles to Florida and have it stolen by some POS that is too lazy and dumb to buy his own.

Re: Stuntwars bike theft.

I rode my bike there saturday and went right to the fence and sat on it and watched. It was me and one other guy, one stayed with the bikes at all times. I drove my truck in sunday so I wouldnt have to worry about it. Samething I do with any bike event, I ride if I'm gonna be with my bike at all times, if I'm going to watch something or walk around, I'd rather not be bothered with it. Didn't a entire teams bikes get stolen last year or something?

funny guy ll your too much CBO lol

anyways there is a kind of fenced off area for bikes but not really watched I mean like you guys said some people were just asking to get robbed by leaveing there keys in the bike, the funny this is that this year TODD had armed sercurity people with tasers, guns, and pepper spray, I think what they need to do is if you come in with a bike give you a certain wrist band then give everyone else a different one just like they did with the vendors and veiwers they had different wrist bands, and have two big a$$ guys with tasers at the door checking people that leave on bikes you have no wrist band you can't leave you wanna get smart you get taged lol I think that would be good, yea might cost a little more but atleast it will be the first stuntwars that a bike does not get stolen.

Re: Stuntwars bike theft.

nothing to do with sw but i crashed my zx7r in philly one night. thing had torn up plastic, shift lever and rearset broke ****ed up rims. both side clip ons broke, no clutch lever. The thing was a total loss. with all this damage the bike was obviously impossible to ride. i towed it to a local dealer that a freind worked at and left it outside the door. The next day i went to the shop and found someone had tampered with the ignition. trucking it for salvage parts i could understand but someone actually tried to start and ride the ***** off the lot with no clutch and no shift pedal. ****in idiot.

Re: Stuntwars bike theft.

I aint EVER gonna name names(!) but I know of several local stunters around my parts that are straight up bike thieves.

Uncool...no means for a lynching...but uncool nonetheless. Dissapointing too
