Re: zx10

Yeah I hear those are a lot more wheelie happy than the new R1s. They're awesome track bikes, and great bikes to do 130+ mph stand-ups with, although NOT a great bike to actually stunt. So I don't think they will be the next 900, 929, 954 anytime soon. They just fall apart to easy...

The 04 636 is the last Kawi bike to have the old style frame made of pressed/extruded sections welded together, with some sections being cast. The new style frames are computer controlled die casted, basically the same as plastic injection molding but for metal. They are great for rigidity and overall strength but they dont give at all, instead of bending or warping they will simply crack. Then their even harder to fix if you try and bend things back they will snap and the alloy used is very hard to weld.

Re: zx10

Also the new ZX10 and R1 frames do not use the motor as a stressed member

Re: zx10

ya the kawi frames r junk. ive got a fkin 03 kfx and the fkin frame is beginning to rust where they arc welded it to the front bumper mount. im guessing it will crack soon if i come down from a whoolie to hard. if it does, im driving the fkin thing thru the dealership window on my lunch break.

Re: zx10

there not junk.. but like most people said. they are meant for track(high speed) racing.
not omg i wheelied it in first and it came up to far I hit back break and look @ my frame.
if you get one its badass for highway stuff just reinforce the subframe and frame. who cares about adding more weight.. lol make it 500lbs just reinforce it and have fun
