HB: Full throttle or Moto-heaven

Don't have the link for Full throttle. Like $240 plus you need a res.

but I ran into this for $200 and it seems to have everything.

http://www.moto-heaven.com/store/car...t_detail&p=218

Which of the two would be better? Pro's/Cons. I'm on a budget so holla.

Fullthrottleinc.net....that would be my choice

I run this setup right now and love it. Have no problems with it at all.

I have put on a moto-haven set up for a friend of mine and it was a good set up...but I didnt like the lever/res that came with it. I prefer a lever with a remote reservoir so you can mount it anywhere. With this lever, we had a hardtime getting everything to workout right, and had to run the HB on top of the clutch.

The fullthrottle set up is more money, but I feel it is very well worth it. Bill is and excellent guy to deal with.

If you buy the moto-h deal...upgrade the lever to a 929/954 lever and you should be set. However, for this price...you could have spent a lil more and got the fullthrottle setup with lever. Bill has brand new 929 levers for $110 I believe.

Hope it works well for you

Re: HB: Full throttle or Moto-heaven

wat moto-heaven sells is an adapter for the original master cyl. what full throttle sells is a whole new master cylinder with two inlets. im building a 2 caliper set up and its only costing me about $150. as far as wats better, the full throttle set up allows u to use both at once other than that idk the difference

ya, I was gonna run a 2 caliper setup..but theres a lot of drag on the wheel. I like doing coasters a lot..so the less drag the better for me. The adapter that you get with the moto-haven setup is quality and works well.

Re: HB: Full throttle or Moto-heaven

Full Throttle is all ive used. I like it. I think I might have blown a seal on the Rear Master, it bubble when I crank on it. A bolt was loose.. ill have to see, but I still get great pressure on it. Locks up without a problem one finger. IT was $210, I use a Nissin (off a G1k) for the front. Remote Reservoir, ***** exactly how/where I want it possitioned.

Yo guys, some good input. So the MotoHeavan brake won;t allow for a lever to be below the clutch huh?

For real Solid input keep them coming guys.

Plus. Phil is a cool guy, that's why I ordered my sprocket from him and considering the HB.

Ya..from what I hear Phil is real cool. I duno about everyone else, but we had to run it on top on my boys gixxer. Not saying the set up sucks, just saying the lever does..If you get it, upgrade to a new lever

Re: HB: Full throttle or Moto-heaven

mike.. the reason that ***** sucks on the first pull is because it bleeds down from that leak. You should give homedude a call and see what they have to say. That unit looks clean but I think you may have gotten a defective one.

Re: HB: Full throttle or Moto-heaven

Well, its never leaked. I used to check it all the time before I rode, so thats why I was suprised to see fluid. Im thinking the bolt should have been lock-tited. But I wonder if the seal is torn now. It still feels like it did on Day 1 so until I feel it getting spongy, its coo

It doenst NOT have power on the first pull, it just pushed fluid down the line that had been pushed up from the rear brake. Its never spongy, but the input point on the lever changes slightly.

excatly the other setup uses the gp tech fitting which in my opinion is garbage! I've seen people who have used them and the fitting pops out, it's only held in by one little philips screw, and the fitting your tapping into isnt meant to hold pressure, it's meant to hold a resevoir. The www.fullthrottleinc.net setup is a new master cylinder with bigger internal fluid passages and uses a banjo fitting to hold your handbrake line. Also once you buy the new rear master if you change bikes he can refit the master with a new rod to fit most jap bikes so you dont have to buy a new one.
