Re: HB: Full throttle or Moto-heaven
yup. cheer site...lol
...........
i was gonna go with the fitting and some jb weld all ghetto like on team o.m. bikes...
but now after reading this stuff it sounds like fullthrottle is the way to go.
question:
what is the difference between levers/master cylinders ?
i heard something about 929 or 954 being the most powerfull ??
i have a gsxr 600 one on hand right now. it says 5/8 on the back.... is there any difference between the 600 and 1000 s lever/master cylinder ??
ill go post it in another section so not to basterize this thread.
thanx

Re: HB: Full throttle or Moto-heaven
I am runnin a full throttle set up, but I can't get it right. It hard to pull and stop, it takes 2 fingers to lock the rear wheel. Plus you have to crush the lever to do it, and it makes my rear brake really stiff too. I bled about a quart of brake fluid through that *****. I keep hearing "I can lock my rear wheel with 1 finger" either they are doin something I'm not, or got a superman
kungfu grip. Runnin a 929 master too, it has 3/4 stamped on the back.
Somebody help me please or I'm going back OG.

Re: HB: Full throttle or Moto-heaven
I remeber I found a Brembo rear master cylinder with two inlets that was designed for thumb brakes. It was only 110$ but I can't find it online anymore.
Im gonna call my local Brembo dealer and see if they can get these. It was cast so its cheaper than than the full throttle set up which is billet, but should work just as good.

" Rear M/C 11mm For Thumb Brake - Brembo
X96.37.10
Brakes - Master Cylinders
Brembo
Rear Thumb brake master cylinders are specially made for feed through applications. In this mode, a handle bar mounted master cylinders is plumbed to the threaded fitting where the rear fluid inlet would be. Unlike a convention master, this one uses a threaded connection for the inlet port. This allows the master cylinder to be pressurized in a flow through mode. The rear master cylinder is then connected normally to the rear brake caliper.
In operation, the thumb brake master cylinder (with reservoir) supplies fluid to the system. When the thumb brake is actuated, pressure flows through the hose, to the rear master and to the rear brake caliper.
In addition, the rear master cylinder can be actuated like a normal one.
