what should i do???
i have a little something that's been on my mind. i have an 03 r6. it's a sweet *** bike. i have it painted all liquid silver, polished lip, micron high mount, flushmounts, blah blah blah. you get the picture right? i love my bike, and that might be the problem. it's in such good condition and looks so damn good that i'm scared to stunt on it. but i'm not the type who just wants a bike just to look cool, and to be honest with you, i'm not the type who wants to ride the bike the way it's supposed to be ridden. I LOVE STUNTIN. i still TRY and stunt the **** out of my bike, but i think i'm just a little careful with it. my point is, have any of you been in a similar situation and just went ahead and got rid of your clean *** bike and bought a stunt bike? i know that i could just have both, but whats the point? i've read a thread on here about people who have two or more bikes but just end up riding the stunt bike more often. i was thinking about selling my bike and maybe getting a 929, or a gixxer 750 that's in ok condition. something that i can put a cage on it and stunt the **** out of it. i heard that yamahas are so delicate that one little wreck can be expensive. 929's for some reason seems to be THE BIKE FOR STUNTING ON. so, what do you guys think??? i'd rather be riding up on one than riding on two wheels on tight corners like the r6 is known for.

Re: what should i do???
I done the same thing. One wheelie led to another, and then I started trying all kinds of stuff. I had my ZX6R pimped out, polished frame, wheels, swing arm, re-sprayed black, shaved the signal holes, new undertail, nice Hindle can etc. Now its pretty crunchy, plastcs are all broken and scraped, and held on by zip ties, hindle got shortied, dented the mint tank from highchairs, tail got cut up to fit a 12-bar, lost the gauges and ram-air, undertail had the rear tire go through it from stoppies.......Its a mess.
I wouldn't do it differently if I had the choice. Its a 96, and I couldn't even get $4000 Canadian when it was still mint at the begining of this summer. It would have costed me that at least to get a newer 600 beater.

Re: what should i do???
take all the plastics off, cut pipe, get good at stuntin. about 6 months from now put the palstics back on. and they'll hopefully only get minor scratches and ****. but leanr without them. i prefer to run em naked cuz they run about 10-15 degrees cooler. plus its easier to work on them and spot probs. but if uve gotta have a pretty bike , learn naked, ride not naked.

Re: what should i do???
a buddy of mine bought an 03 R6 brand new, rode it on the street for a couple months and started stuntin it this past year. it's currently sitting in his garage because he's busted two motors, his subframe is cracked, welded, and cracked again, and he's missing a motor mount on one side from when he dropped it doing a 5 mph no throttle hand and his FI slider ripped the whole motor mount off with side of the motor still attached.
trust me, you do not want to stunt a new R6. the frames are fragile and break really easy. i laid my 04 R6 down on it's side and the swingarm cracked right through because one of the rivets on the can got pushed into it when it went down.
i'd say buy another bike, but that's just my opinion and from what i've seen, you'd be better off with a honda or a suzuki.
