Re: starboyz wheelie school??

Thought about it. Then talked to Thew about it at one of their shows. Basically they teach you the BASIC wheelie. you sit down, and have a bar on the back of the bike. The better you get, the shorter the bar. Great for people who are lookin to learn the basics. The advanced school might be worth it though. Most of that stuff you can only get with practice though. Thats a lot of money to pay to be told the information you can get on here for free. Just my .02

Re: starboyz wheelie school??

A few of myboys went and their wheelies still sucked. Constant practice is helping them alot more now.

Re: starboyz wheelie school??

I would consider taking an advanced course from them, just for the kicks of practicing with the Starboyz, and you can't argue with their skills.

I know a guy in town that took the beginner course. He came to my practice spot, and first try looped a 1st gear wheelie and ****ed up his 900RR. He's still limping and I think that happened back in August!!!

Re: starboyz wheelie school??

If it was available when I was starting out, I would have gone for sure. These guys have been riding for almost 10 years. Just knowing that I was taught by the OG's of this sport is worth the money. You can't learn 10 years worth of tips and tricks from your buddy or a local with 2 year's riding experience. Everyone's rocking big sprockets and handbrakes now. If you don't have it, buy FTP2 and watch scott do 2 miles over the bars with stock sprockets, which only experience allows. Thew is now teaching with them. Not only a world record breaker, but arguably my favorite rider and most well rounded......hurry before he goes All gray and retires

Re: starboyz wheelie school??

The wheelie is one of those things you learn on your own.
If you go to a wheelie school, its probably not for you.
For some it may help but for others
Good way for the boyz to make some extra dough.

i think the idea of the school is to teach brake control to those who can already wheelie.
