2) get on the gas. Again, hard to do when you can barely keep your hands on the f'ing thing.

i have had a few nasty slappers, one of them my friends said the back wheel was almost 90degrees to both sides and i almost went under a semi trailer, pulled it off. i think if you keep your feet on the pegs you should pull out of it. i have seen a few where the rider took their feet off the pegs and they all ate ****. and they mostly happen at speeds over 65, 70. thats my opinion.

and smacking the gas is the right move. takes the weight off the front.

note: you'll never get a slapper if you ride 12's instead of highway power wheelies.

My thoughts exactly. I don't think I've been over 45mph on my bike in a few weeks.

Well, I hate to say it, but your time will come if you go on thinking that it won't!! I've got 20,000 almost all stunted miles on my f4i and even with a dampner, Ive gotten headshake from doing long, tall endos. Don't think I've gotten a slapper from setting a wheelie down since I got one, but had a few before I did......not a fun thing to experience!! I say, You're not riding that thing hard enough if you've never had a tankslapper!

i'll put a third to that!!! i just got my f4i, and was just lightly playing trying some stoppies at around 30, no biggie, just alitttle wobble but controlable, i went against my better judgement and tried some faster ones, tankslapped and tossed the bike at 45, no more stoppies until i get a damper!!!

by the way how far are you guys rollin on the f4i??

Yeah and the myth that gixxers are excluded from the dreeded tankslapper are false, the "factory dampners" are garbage! Ive had a few small tankslapers on my faster endo attempts and there no fun but I gotta say when its over and your still goin in a straight line on 2 wheels its a good feeling!
