JB weld + Crank Case = ?

Good idea or bad idea?

I put this stuff called "Cold Weld" on my CC today (just like JB weld) and the stuff is exteremly tough, but my case is cracked pretty f'in good, i made sure i got it all sealed up and ****, but do i gotta worry about **** being inside the CC already and gettin run through my engine?

I did this in hopes of riding a few more times befor it gets to late, but i dont wanna **** up my engine.

Should i just wait till next season/till i have a new cover befor i put oil in it again and ride or should i be alright?

Depends on where the crack was. I wouldn't worry too much about that crap floating in the CC because the gears will chew that **** up and turn it to powder pretty damn quick.

Re: JB weld + Crank Case = ?

well the crack ran from like the middle of the case right on the honda all the way up along that little ridge thing (difficult to expalain) and all the way back to where this tube runs into the side of the CC (not sure what it is) but i made sure i covered the whole crack, i guess ill know if it sealed or not once i start it and see oil shootin out hah.

My main concern was the **** inside the CC but if you say it wont cause any damage then i think im good to go. Im fienen so bad to get out and do some wheelies its unbelieveable.

Watching the new OM vid all day isnt helpin one bit either hah

I jb'd a big *** crack on my crack case cover. Basically the whole lower half ended up being covered. It held up fine till i found a new cover for $10 off ebay.

Re: JB weld + Crank Case = ?

I pulled up 1st from a dead stop, was riding the wheelie at like 15-25 mph and either i gave it an extra shot of throttle, or the wind blew me back since i was riding into the wind. probably a combination of both hah.

This is why a few ppl mentioned to have a 12 bar and cage befor i start slow **** lol.
