**apehangers and abs cramp/pain**

i went out last night practicin and i did a couple of apehanger then in the third one it hit me damn the most f*#ked up abs pain/cramp ever i couldnt stand up for a min, it happened when i was pulling my self up to the seat.
anybody had the same thing...weird huh!
wat to do?

If it's your lower stomach you could have a hernia. That's my uneducated medical 2cents.

there is nothing you can do, I had the same thing happen to me. just take a break from ape hangers and then do it over again, over time you will develope those muscles and you won't get cramps anymore, but just don't overdue it or you will just keep tearing your muscles, doing situp and excersises like that will help get those muscles in shape for pulling yourself back up on the bike. I had a hernia, ain't nothing like that.

If you work a muscle real hard sometimes it cramps up. I ran track and highschool and I would get these cramps for like a minute were I couldnt walk.

sounds like you need to start doing some crunches or situp to buld up the muscles

i get the same soreness in my stomach area. It's not an overwhelming pain though. It feels good like i just worked out my stomach for about 1 hour.
