just wondering if you guy think this is a good idea or not?... i got some debt i need to pay off quick..my 929 has a clean title.. i was thinking of selling my clean frame and title and buying one with no numbers since im not going to be riding street anymore? Is this a good idea?Anyone know what a clean titled 929 frame is worth?.. cus if its not much then its not gona be worth stripping down...also do cops mess with you about no numbers if your at a spot and not on the street?..thanks

Yup, in my search for a title for the gixxer the cheapest I could find was 1500. For a 929... I'd say you could get 2 g's easy. DO IT... but don't get caught haha.

 

clean ones are def worth bout 2g's and just buy a frame w/ a salvage thats straight and keep the title w/ ya so ya do get hassled to much

around here a salvaged fame cost the same because you can put them back on the street. you might get lucky and buy a CD title bike cheap but it may need work. i can tell you this and it's a fact. J'ville has a task force led by detective Coy Vista hunting down stolen bikes. This includes bikes with no vins. in Florida it's illegal to have a frame with an altered vin.

why would you not be able to street a salvage title? I see cars and bikes with R titles all the time. I am however glad that there are task forces searching for vins. If some **** stole My bike I would love to see them become bubbas boy for a month or two

no im keeping the bike... im just trying to think of what i can sell the doesnt affect me being able to ride... i can still ride without plastics or with a diffrent frame..i just need money soon

buy a salvage frame off ebay.. look for dealerships selling it, more legit than some dude scamming you. worth a shot

It really depends man Newer **** is alot more than older. almost bought an RR frame with title for $220 and I saw an R1 frame going for $1900 on ebay.

 

just watch out for people scamming on ebay like the moron here on stuntlife (see the buyer/seller ratings). They are worth a nice bit of change, though. I'd never sell my frame, I'd sell the bodywork if you need cash. Sell it as a set and you could probably get more money depending on the shape. Not 2K, but about 1K. Then make the other K at work

 

if you sell the frame you can still get a frame from ebay with a salvage or the vin scraped as long as they say it comes with a bill of sale, because that means that they recovered a stolen frame and makes it ok and way cheaper. You will be legal BUT MAKE SHURE TO ALWAYS KEEP THE REGISTRATION WITH YOU.
