One on the left can still make short work of a lotta 800's in 1000ft.
in all fairness though it was always wheeled onto the lake and would melt a piston in anything over 1000ft....reason it sits so high in the pic is cause the motor is on the bench with a couple of detonated pistons LOL.

This was the best sled I've ever owned with almost perfect set-up "outta the box".....just a little clutch work and you could run with all 700 twins and a lotta 800 twins to 100mph.
the best part is that it hammers the bumps on the way to the lakes.

Sorry for the pic flood.......
Tiller....you will probably never get your sled to leave like the new lighter twins but it should run like a maniac on the big end.
Belt deflection and proper jetting is crucial. i can probably get you some clutch/jet specs for it.

it fouled another plug today.. middle 1 again.. damn thing has br8es in it and it calls for a br10es!!!
i need to have it tuned i guess!!!
