StormCycle disk brakes

I just installed the Storm Cycles disk brake kit on my fiddy last night.. DAMN, these things are awsome! Just squeeze the brakes and the rear end comes up with ease, no bouncing, no death grab and hope they bite. I dont even have to raise off the seat to get it to come up. No footed stoppies are cake now.

Now I just have to learn how to roll them, and I'll be happy. The brake kit is well worth the money, and they are cheaper them most other brake kits. The kits is pretty well made, and the installation is cake.
I'll try to take some pics this weekend.

Re: StormCycle disk brakes

Ive been wondering the same thing. Though I dont really know if Id want one. The fronts are pretty touchy. The Reeg kit doesnt look bad, though it costs a little more.

Re: StormCycle disk brakes

Yeah, its just the cable brake system. The caliper and disk are made by hayes, a very well know Mountain bike brake company. Hydraulic brake systems arent cheap.

Re: StormCycle disk brakes

I dont think aftermarket pipes on a stock 50 really make that much more horse power anyhow. Everything is a advertising sales pitch. No matter who its from. Marketing people do thier best to stretch the truth, its up to the consumer to realize that most of the time marketing ploys are typically

Re: StormCycle disk brakes

What are you saying, replacing an old part with a new flashy one won't make your bike faster?
