polishing the carb

has anyone tryed to clean up the inside and polish it up at all just wondering.also where can i get the feeler gauge to adjust my valves.

Whats up with that? The stock carb seems real finicky. Are there better ones out there?

one time i got a freeler guage but i couldnt figure out what to adjust when i took it apart, can u explain.

If you look under the caps. You will see a bolt with no head, just a spot to put a flat head screwdriver and a 10mm nut... You have to turn the cam so that the lobes. (Both) are facing down. Once you have done that, you should be able to grab that rocker arm and feel a tiny bit of play. Pull up on it, and place between the top of the valve stem and the bolt going through the rocker arm.. I can not remember right now, but I know MINE was like 8 exh and 10 int?.. Check your manual...
