XR70 Forks on a Fiddy
Who knows anything about this?
I know it can be done and is a SWEET upgrade... But how? Here is what Im figuring.
Get the stock XR70 front end. Take apart the forks and cut down the legs a bit, like 2"... shave down the front brake stay to accomodate the 50 brake hub... But do the triples and steering stem fit in no problems?
Anyone know anything about this please let me know. I really wanna do this!
Also... isit true that an XR70 rear shock and swingarm will just bolt right on and give you 2" more height???
Here are pics of some fiddys with 70 forks...

Shugga you can put the xr70 swing arm and front forks on. My buddy has this setup. The forks don't have to be cut down at all. You do have to modify the brake hub in order for it to fit on the forks. All he did was grind it down until it fits. He also bought his forks and different springs for the forks from fast50's. I will ask him if there was anymore that he had to do to make this setup work. I would run a works shock in the rear instead of the stock XR70 shock.

For XR70 forks you need to rig up something to hold the front brake cable. Maybe weld a stay up or machine some kind of clamp. The rear swingarm will bolt right on. Need to weld a brake stay on it and get a longer brake rod. Go with a Works or an i-shock. Stock XR70 shock gets trashed as fast as the 50 shock does.
