i heard for every 8 pounds is a gain or loss of 1hp, rule of thumb for racing.
i thought this was a sight about stunting, but if you would like to race i weigh 135lbs on a 03 gsxr1000. do the math.
if you weigh about 200lbs on one of those new bikes, then we are about equal because i would have about a 8.2hp gain on you. but anyway it comes down to the rider right?

yea, seen it, not impressed. the RR is tubby. the kaw has cowshit for a transmission, and the R1 has less torque, and more top end. on the other hand zuk is running a proven chassis w/ a monster midrange motor.

i have already posted all the good points about the R1, if it was close to the Kaw i would get one, but it looks like the 10 is alot better. All the talk about suzuki torque this, Honda HP that, and the 10 beats em all. fact is, all the 1000cc bikes are insane fast, but i got no brand loyalty, so i will go with the best.

so the 10 is lighter then all of them, and has the best power, and in my opinion the best color, i was thinking about a red R1, till i peeped it at freestate the other day, its a nice color but to dark. i think i will stick to the neon green

and to brandol, you are right, rider weight has a whole bunch to do with it, when you weigh 250, you really have to think about racing a 1000 with a 135 pound jockey, not a good idea, even with a 12

heard about the trans problem, they said it was a shift fork that wasn't strong eneough, thats why the delivery date was pushed back to March, but hopefully they got it fixed. i got the first year 12 that came out, when everyone was worried about recalls and ****, it did get recalled for some dumb ****, like the washer on the valve stem, but nothing major, so hopefully they will have it all worked out in the production version 10R

this is STUNTlife who gives a damn how much hp said bike makes, I could clutch up a wheelie on a ninja 250 and it does'nt make any power. Another thing anyone seen the subframe on a new R1, cuz I saw one with out the tail fairing the other day what a lil' rinky dink cast aluminum piece of crap I'd have that thing lookin like a soggy taco in 5 min.

HP kings do go back and forth between bikes, thats why i don't care who makes it, i will buy the better one for the year.
except for suzuki, i worked at a dealer when i was in college, they came back more then any other brand for serious issues, like 1000's with rods blown threw the block....

ex250?wtf i don't recall having one of those. and i have never had any probs with my zuks. the only probs is when i beat the hell out of them or some dumbass knocks it over and the carbs flood. maybe dumbass who dont know how to ride have serious probs with zuks, who knows, i have always found them reliable. i know a guy who rocks one from 94 and that bitch is int like his 50 and can do some sick ****. so it is like this get what ever the **** you want. if you want a zuk a kawi a yamadog or a honduh get it. dont listen to other ****s who show numbers and **** cause when it all comes down to it the best rider can have the shittiest bike and still whomp ***.
