are all 900rr front wheels interchangable? i have a 94 900rr and i want a spare front rim, i found one for a 96-97 but they guy told me it won't fit on my 94. i thought they were all the same.

it will fit but you wont have a speedo. the 93-94 have a machanical speedo run from the front wheel. you would have to get the spacers from the newer wheel to replace the speedo drive too.

oh ya, forgot about the speedo.....not that it matters anyways cause it's a streetfighter and the front wheel will be in the air :YEAH

actually its 93 to 95, not to be a dick or anything, but i just got a set of rims off e-bay . go there binder, i got a set complete with rotors, bearings cush drive , sprocket, the works for 200 shipped. there is actually a set on there now buy it now for 225. iw will try to get an item number for you.

I'm not sure if you care, but the F3 front wheel and rotors bolt right up with either F3 or '95-'96 900RR wheel spacers. The bike handles better and you have a better tire selection (17"). This was one of the best mods I did to my '94RR. Just my 2 cents.

They all fit pretty much with minor adjustments, or maybe spacers, but it's a good idea to use the f3 wheel

ya, i agree. if your gonna change it out the use the f3 rim. its a 17" instead of the 16". thats much better for handling. but if your just gonna stunt it then it doesnt matter.

ya, thanks for the tips. i know about the f3 change but i don't want to do that, i want another 16" rim so i can use the same tires on them. plus i can get them for like 30$ verses the 100-125$ for an f3 that everyone wants. i know a lot of guys still using 16" rims and it doesn't matter to them.

and i don't see why corners would be that big of a deal with teh 16" front rim....honda made it a 16" for a reason. oh ya, and i'll have a cage so it's not like i'm goin to be hitting twisties....look at the top of this page and see what it says, it sure doesn't stay "CURVE LIFE" MUHAHAHA :YEAH

hell yeah, had a zx6r, prfect cornering bike, got the 900rr, perfect stunt bike, but its like pushing a tank around a corner compared to the zx6r.

also you are compairing a lighter 600 to a 900, back in those days, there was a huge handling difference between a 6 and a 9 because of weight and cg issues.

the reason that the 16'' front wheel is a problem with cornering is that it throws the geometry off on the bike.....if you get used to it it shouldnt be a problem......but if you are used to leaning the bike over at some half way serious lean angles then you will be rolling on the pavement
One of my friends was just talking about this the other night.....he was a pretty good dirt racer, bought some POS street bike and got used to taking turns pretty good, he then bought a new 900 (early to mid 90's) and he couldnt believe how much he sucked(or so he thought) till he changed the rim to 17.
But if you done need to corner and can get tires that cheap

yeah it was a 2000 zx6r, i know there is a wieght and even an engineering difference. the technology improves every year and there is 5 years between my zx6r and the 900rr i have know.
