929 exhaust help
Anybody who owns a 929 knows the up/down idle problems that it has. I know people here have disconnected the exhaust to rid of the problems. So my question is that are there any drawbacks in doing so, and what exactly has to be disconnected?

929 PROBLEM
YOU CAN TAKE OUT THE FLAPS IN YOUR AIR BOX AND OPEN THE FLAP IN YOUR EXAUST AND THEN DISSCONECT IT FROM THE SERVO MOTOR. IT WILL GIVE BETTER AIR FLOW AND RUN BETTER. WON'T HELP WITH THE IDLE THOUGH. I'VE LEARNED TO JUST DEAL WITH IT.

I removed all that Sh*t. It runs great.
If I bump the idle up above 3k it will hold up higher.
For No throttles and no handers you only need the idle at like 1900. At least thats what I use and can rock steady for blox.
I heard that if you get the throttle bodies re-synched it will help the idle. I plan on doing that in the near future.
I run a scorpion slip on exhaust.

Like Van said ....gut the airbox..everything. take the 5 bolts out that hold the valve in, pull it out, remove the 10mm nut, take the valve off, fill hole with a bolt and nut and reassemble without the valve. done. run at 2500 rpm. very minimal loss at low end..barley noticeable.
