If you think you don't need a helmet, you're probably right...

no eye protection

yeah we had that no eye protection because we had our visor thing happen to us up at the Fudd's in Ft. Lauderdale. They pulled over about 8 of us in one shot... (we were stopped at a light too!) I think they just really would rather work easy than work hard.

Doesn't anyone wear eyeglasses under their lid? That would be absolutely rediculous if officer friendly tried to harass you for having a shield up, and you had glasses on underneath it. I often ride with the shield up when it's warm out, under 50mph or so, but I wear glasses. I've never heard of anyone here getting nabbed for having a shield up though, glasses or not.

I ride with glasses when its really hot with the visor open, but when not so hot I have a half tinted visor (top half) I put on.
Getting hassled from cops for having your visor opened?? What a joke!!

The visor down/sunglass law applies here in Illinois. No helmet laws, but I wear mine all the time! I do the same thing sometimes, just wear the glasses and a lid when it's hot outside. I've seen plenty of people stopped for an open visor. FTP

Gotta have a helmet, glasses combo. Lids are too pimp not to have and wear. HJC for me. As far as sunglasses something cheap because you will loose them .

i always wear sunglasses with my helmet, and i have clear ones for night time. get some Bollés, much better than oakleys, cheaper AND they're polarized. i was a sunglass salesman for about a year....
oakleys are cheaply made, they just market the shět outta them. for wind protection the Bolle swishers beat the oakley minutes/twenties hands down. they have rubber ear stalks all the way to the end, whereas oakleys have hard plastic stalks with rubber over them... = more pressure on the head. polarized is almost a neccesity for riding, cuts the glare out.
bollé is
oakley is
polarized oakley minutes are $150+
polarized bolle swishers are $89+

I use a tinted visor and at slow speed leave it open a crack, only heard of one time where a state trooper stopped my buddy, but he had regular eyeglasses on so he let him go...
