02 Gixxer Recalls

Hi all

Can anyone tell me of a site that i can look up any recalls on my bike ? if anyone knows anything that i maybe able to do here is my story : I Bought a 2002 gsxr 750 from best cycle in nashua and when i did this i got the extended warrantee , now i just moved to florida and find that the cam chain tensioner is gone on my bike so i bring it for service and im told that the warrantee isnt in thier system i called the dealer where i bought the bike and they are working on finding out what is going on i was told by a service manager at another shop that the warrantee runs through a 3rd person place but the info he gave me isnt the right place but he then mentions that thecam chain may be under recall and the place where i brought the bike is "researching it " but not getting back to me on it just calling me and saying to come get the bike they need the space not too helpful so im looking to see if there maybe a site that shows all recalls on my bike while i wait for people to get off thier a$$e$ and get my papers done so i can get my bike back , im sorry to sound so lame but if anyone knows what i maybe able to do seriously please let me know even if you know who the 3rd party place maybe thanks all

Chances are unless you know someone, or fight like mad! They're screw you out of any insurance repairs. Stories like "that aftermarket windscreen is the reason your trans is fried" are somewhat true!

Yamaha just sent me my info on my extended warranty 3 months after I bought my bike. Telling me that I had "better" have receipts for all my maintenance, be "qualified" to do it, and if I do do it myself, have receipts for everything!

3 months!!! I already had 6000 miles!

The GOOD news is a good cam chain tensioner only costs $50-75 and not to hard to install if they refuse to pay for it. Aks for an APE tensioner.

Not to sound like an A$$hole but, thefuccinking, I didn't know whether to stop or keep going. Do you not have a period button?

Anyways, good luck w/ dealing with the jerks as I have had a similar problem and always blame you for their mistakes. Fight it, you have all to loose and may have to foot the bill yourself. Which would suck as you know its not your fault........

Yeah, what sucks is if they tell you that it's not covered and you decide to not let them work on it, there gonna charge you labor for looking at it.

Go to another dealer, better yet, call Shugga at Stuntlife and order the tensioner and have a buddy put it on.

Where in Florida did you move?

Hey King,
I hear that there are some nice roads to ride up there in Clermont.

If we come up there someday, I'll let you know.

Never buy Extended Warranty. There are so many loopholes, al they do is take your money and give you a eat crap response when you need something. The frame cracking is a problem, but nothing, this was even before stunting. Ebay is your best bet. SCREW SUZUKI DEALERSHIPS!!!!!

When you gettin' your bike back?

There's a group of us gonna be up there on Monday (Labor Day).

So far, there's gonna be 6 or 7 of us coming.
Let me know something & we'll meet up with ya.

Is it rideable? Since today's Thursday, if you put it in the shop on Friday, you won't get it back 'til next week.

Let me know... I told ya I'd let ya know when we come up that way, so I thought I'd give ya a shout.
