hey my buddy just bought a 1996 gixxer 750. we were trying to open up the passenger seat trunk last nite, and we couldnt figure it out. all my bikes have had a key lock for it on the left side of the bike or on the back. am i missing something, i couldnt figure it out. does the bike have a "trunk" under the passenger seat, and if so how do you open it.

lol, I know the keyhole may be hard to find on those bikes, but I didn't think you'd have to turn to a forum. Anyway look under the tail on the left side, where the subframe tube runs. it's right there.

 

or look for the pull-chord down by your left leg.........

Look closer...it looks like a Key Hole .

 

Its under the tail section on the left. The keyhole faces down.

Hi can anyone help, ive got a gsxr600 srad 1998 .... it has not been used in over 3 years ..... the problem being is the engine runs but after 3mins or so i go to rev it up and it throws fuel out of the top of number 1 carb (near side) straight up into the air box...... could it be bad spark plugs not burning the fuel correctly so there is a build up and under pressure of reving it up it causes it to throw it out into the air box ...... any surgestions gladley welcome many thx

still does not help me and the problem is still there

 

its not your plugs.. its probibly your carbs gummed up form setting.. time to take them off and get them cleaned.. now if I remember srads (and I'm not saying I do).. it was just the 750 that got FI in 98..
