I want 2 have my cake and eat it 2
Hello, I know alot of you guys and girls rock those 900RRs and I just picked one up last night. I like it, sure beats the hell out of my R6. However I'm looking for alot more lower end torque but I also would like to do 140mph on the freeway. Can i have my cake and eat it too? What sprocket combo do you rock on your RR's? All advice is much appreciated, thanks. My clutch may be gone too so that may be why it feels so weak.

1 down 2 up seems to be the general consensus around here. Shugga I think topped it out at 160 somthin and can still rock slow wheelies..... Good Luck! If you have more questions or need to get that gearing contact Shugga at the StuntLife store 630/906-9770

And check out this spreadsheet to "estimate" what you will lose with different gearing.
Gearing Worksheet
Make sure you add the 900RR's gearing and your tire sizes. It's pretty good just to have an idea of what will happen with different size sprockets

The link works for me, are you at work? Actually it's an Excel spreadsheet so you can enter your own numbers. I can email it to you instead, just give me your email address.
I'm -1 +2 but on a 6 hunid and so far I am lovin' it, just need more practice.

2 down 1 up is ****. I can still roll on the highway fast enuff to set my hair on fire but the gears make it a wheelie monster... if you're bike feels weak, get yourself a jet kit, bout 100 bucs and a K&N... you will notice the difference with the jet kit because of the new springs they send. Good Luck man Be safe

If his does go that fast I am very impressed. The 900 is the slowest bike I've ever owned but it is also the funnest. Actually the Ducati 748 was the slowest and that junk box blew up after 1500 miles- people will pay so much money to look cool.

and stock Ive had no problem doing 160+
and with 1 down and 2 up in the back on my 94 at the rev limiter in 6th it would be a red bug hair over 160 and that speedo is in the front wheel so no change in it from gearing.....
but both my bikes had from 2400 miles to 6000 miles so they were basicly still new
