Question 2000 F4 Gearing Advice

Stunnas,

Anyone know what is a good setup for the 2000 F4? I can ride out stand-ups to the redline in 1st, I can clutch/bounce them up in 2nd.

I am ordering a set of sprockets and chain TODAY so what would be a good setup? I was thinking -1 +2 but should I be more conservative and only do -1?

I don't care about losing top end as long as I can still go 100mph.

Anyone know the difference between these two setups as far as the wheelies are concerned? Which setup is better to learn the slow rolls?

Thanks!

1 down 2 up is perfect! I rode 1 down while my back sprocket was on order and It didnt make that much of a difference.

Thumbs up Advice right on time!

Papa Kev,

I just got off the phone from ordering the chain and sprockets then checked the thread. So I called them back and luckily the guy was still processing my info so he changed it to -1 +2!

Thanks for the advice, now I can practice the stand ups and then work on trying to slow them down.

Do you guys make it out to the South Side anymore. I went by Doty yesterday and a cop came and told me to leave. It was monday but she said her "boss" told her to give any bikes out there tickets. Luckily I wasn't doing anything yet.

Hey they are building these new warehouses ...

PM me for the info.
