little sis needs first sportbike

i am buying my little sis a bike for her 16th birthday (aren't i sweet?). but here is the thing. i learned to ride on a 900cc and i did what everyone would expect me to do. i cracked the trottle everywhere, trying to show off and laid it down more than a few times. luckly i wised up before i killed myself. i dont want her to get the smame idea. i cant be there all the time so i want to get here a bike that is "cool" since she is in HS and all, but also can't/won't make doing a 150 down the freeway on one wheel any easyer than it has to be. maybe i sound a little over protective, but its my little sister.

Re: little sis needs first sportbike

I'm with the majority, 99% of 16yr olds have no business on a sportbike, actually, most people at all don't, but that's why we live in america. My advice would be get some kind of small cruiser, like a 125cc Honda Nighthawk. Not only are they cheaper, but they are extremely under-powered and generally forgiving.

Re: little sis needs first sportbike

unfortunately the power issue isn't the problem at stake a new rider on the streets with a bike that cant get out of its own way can be a problem too. the biggest thing is that if she freaks out and cant stop or gets cut off and eats it its hard to live with that

Re: little sis needs first sportbike

get her a kawi. those things are sloOoOoOoooow.

nah, srsly. if you do decide to get her a sportbike:
1. get full coverage on the bike
2. get a life insurance policy on her
3. stuff socks in the airbox so it can't breathe.
4. start sayin' prayers, cuz that **** is either gonna get stolen or wrecked.
