Header Question/Full exaust

I've got an Arrow exaust on my 1000rr but its just not loud enough. I noticed my bike has 2 Catalytic convertors on it, so i figure if i get a header it will elliminate them(didnt see any sensors?). Has anybody put a full exaust on a 100rr?

Re: Header Question/Full exaust

yeah i dont wanna buy another slip on tho...If i did i'd prolly go w/ a 2bros. I figure if im gonna spend more cash mine as well finish w/ a full system instead of just a slip on. My question is, Will putting the header on (elliminating the CAT's) make it much louder??

Re: Header Question/Full exaust

from looking at this ebay auction, it looks like you can just bolt it on...no sensors to mess with

it should i know for a fact that when you throw headers on a car and loose the cats it's a lot louder. it smells better too

Yeah i can attest to that as well Open headers rule! but what is the difference between the stock "header" on the bike and a new one (besides no cat)? Are the pipes just a little bigger or is there some real engineering involved??
