What Is Your Fear?

Re: What Is Your Fear?
high speed endos...anything over 40 mph
makes me cringe just thinking about what happens...i've got a nice 8 inch scar down the side of my spine to remind me of past mistakes!

Re: What Is Your Fear?
My biggest fear is the people in cars, while on cell phones, eating Burger King cutting me off. It's happened more times than I can count. I know I've done the eating/cell phone thing, but I know that I am (as we all are) more aware of what's around us because we ride.
What about those who claim they have no fear? How long do they last?

Do not fear death, but embrace it willingly. For if you live fearing death, then you will live fearing life. E. R. Neal
i fear not being able to ride my bike again, spent time in the hospital for stuntin, doesnt bother me...as long as i can ride my life is perfect, they day i become paralyzed or in any way physically or mentally incapable to ride is the day suicide or something freakin insane will happen

Re: What Is Your Fear?
Watching another one of my friends go down bad. I've seen it twice. And it's never good. Also, have another careless driver pull out in front of me, and me go down again. But not make it out as well as last time. I can live with concusions and dislocated shoudlers and sprained ankles. Thats a minor wreck if you ask me. But the day that happens to me, and I'm messed up enough to send me for an extended hospital visit... I fear. Especially with no health insurance!!

Agreed about the laughing and thinking it's badass when ppl crash and get back up I've seen so much dumb shiat .. but yea it'd be scary when they don't get back up. My buddy knew the risks... but it still sucks. Thanks though.

"The only thing I Fear is Fear itself." Good quote from a song but I forgot who sings it. It was on a snowboarding film I watched a while back and I have never forgotten it.

Re: What Is Your Fear?
Paralysisis is definitely up there for me. The first time I looped my bike at 80mph I went to the hospital on a stretcher in an ambulance and I was thinking "Man I'm pretty ****ed up. I can't believe this just happened". Then I get to the hospital and the guy in the bed next to me is paralyzed from the neck down because of a motorcycle crash earlier that night. I felt pretty lucky and it put things into perspective. I've looped twice this summer so looping again is another thing that scares me. Losing a friend while riding and the red/blue lights on my ***. I've been in and out of court too many times dammit! FTP!

It was Franklin Roosevelt, the great crippled president. It wasn't in a song, it was a radio address to the nation. The song bit his words.
