D-Max w/ a Cognito 12" lift rolling on 38's... 44's if you have REAL ego issues! LOL
no seriously, eventually i want to lift mine 4-6" and run 33 or 35 X 18 or 20's... depending on what looks right...
Re: last post contest
20" tires are ridiculously priced...like 400+ for a 35 inch tire.
20" rims are crazy priced too...the weld rims i want are 799 a piece..which is great...cuz we all have 3200+ to spend on wheels and another 1500+ for tires
ive wanted to lift mine 6" and throw some 20s on it...but its just too expensive...plus i only get like 14 mpg city as it is.
but then again...i may say fk it today and go trade mine in.

yeah i know there is a difference, but im not too worried about the rims, i have a hookup for that... im more concerned about tires since ill have to replace them now and then... LOL
I might just buck up and go for it... only need to replace tires every few years...
I want to do a gloss black rim with a little silver trim...

you can run those on the D-max with a small lift...
i just dont like the look of big tires and no lift... i have 265's and love them... soem guys like 285's...
35 is by FAR the largest i would go on a tire..
Cummins... PPFFFTTTT... what number tranny is he on?!?!?
Re: last post contest
what color is your truck?
i have a friend who has a white silverado with black rims and a chrome lip...it looks pretty gay.
but yeah...tires are going to rape you. Id definitely go with some a/t...Nitto or Toyo...hell Pro Comp has some new-ish Xtreme A/T that are pretty sweet.
i know what you mean though Gix...silverados sit lower than any truck out there. I dont know why...youd think GM would make them a little higher of a ride. Stock 2k5 f150s sit higher than i do

you can run 35s easy on a stock 4x4 duramax.
my friends 2k6 z71 has 20s on 305/55's...fits fine...equals out to a 33 in tire i believe.
i wouldnt go any bigger than a 35 though...unless i had like 12 inches of lift...i was thinking about a 3in body on some 20s...nothing too drastic. and if i want to go bigger i wont have to change my driveshaft.

Oh and my dad's cummins has about 185,000 miles on it and the trans was rebuilt once. If you rebuild them right (instead of replacing them) then you should never have a problem again.
