she's always going to be April's daughter. just like Steve said
I love her like she's mine but i'm not her dad. later on she'll be my "stepdaughter" and that's as good as it will get.

Oh thats nice of him ... I mean its good for you guys that he isn't putting up a fight ... but what a nice guy ... he understands that she is moving to GUAM ... nice ... sounds like there is an open spot for you to be her father anyway ... is she always going to call you Chris or do you think she might call you dad someday? Cause my son isn't technically my husbands but he has been raising him since he was 1 1/2 ... and when I got pregnant with my daughter my son started calling Dan Daddy - yes he sees his father every Sunday for 4 hours (like that is a lot of time - LOL) ... but he still wants Dan to be his Dad ... and Dan has always said My children ... he never singled Brendan out and called him his "step" child ... its not Brendans fault and he doesnt feel he should be treated or called anything different ... but thats just us. Our kids are Our kids ... regardless ... thats just where I was comming from with my previous statement - no disrecpect ... I just see it differently I guess ...
