If you're sucking air through the fitting, it won't bleed right but will build some pressure and you'll think that it's bled. you can get a radiator clamp or something like that and try to tighten the connection from the HB line to the rear m/c.
I had to JB weld it and clamp it on, but my fitting was way smaller. it should be a really tight fit, almost too hard to push in by hand but not quite.
