Signs that you’re a hard-core stunter:

- you need a new house because your neighbors are threatening violence is you park one more bike at 12 o’clock in front of your driveway.
- the requirements you give your real estate agent are (in order of importance)
1) 3 bay climate controlled garage.
2) 3 phase 220V outlets in the garage for your welder
3) a grease pit
4) convenient to a hazardous waste disposal site
5) deaf neighbors
6) across the street from stuntlife bike shop
7) some sort of house with a working toilet and shower on the property somewhere – or – hookups for the motorhome
- your email address refers to your bike rather than to you
- you buy new parts because you don’t know where you put the spares (this could be from hitting your head too many times)
- your looking for a new tow vehicle and you still haven’t bought furniture for your house
- you measure all family acquisitions in terms of the number of parts that could have been purchased
- you look at the purchase of tools as a long term investment
- your garage holds more bikes than your house has bedrooms (GREGGV)
- you have enough spare parts to build three stunt bikes
- you have bike parts in you cubicle at work (provided you are still employed)
- your Christmas list starts with a crash-cage, frame sliders and a twelve bar (and your significant other knows what they are)
- after your answer to “what did you do this weekend?” the next question is always: “and you do this for fun? Right?”
- people know you by your “off’s” (oh, you were the one sliding down the road on I95 last weekend)
- you talk to others on the road calling them by the manufacturer’s name
- your criteria for selecting a significant other includes repair skills
- you plan your wedding around “team events”
- you give website addresses out when a friend asks for the best bike dealer
- you hate long distance driving, but you’ll gladly drive 800 miles to the next show
- you save broken parts as “momentos”
- you know the exact story behind every one! (see above)
- your idea of a good time is sitting around figuring out gear ratios for slow wheelies
- you own five bikes and only one of them is street legal (it dont matta tho)
- your video collection contains more stunt videos than normal ones
- your friends call to tell you they found another stunt spot rather than to see how your doing
- you filled out the stunt comp form but threw away the census 2000 forms
- 90% of your work email is stunt related (again, are you employed?)
- you keep trying to convince your significant other to allow you to remove the doors on her ride.
- You refer to the local home building site as the “proving ground”
- You can remember how to get to every stunt spot you’ve ever been to but get lost going to your in-laws
- When someone mentions “Xtreme” you get excited
- Motivation involves someone saying “you can’t do it”

And the #1 sign you’re a hardcore stunter is”

- it’s not considered a good ride if you don’t brake something
