Newb posts
This might be a good way to get newbies to read instead of posting the same questions over and over again. This was taken from the Stern Forum which I signed up on just to talk trash and post up ********. . Can this be implemented and the search fixed? Just an idea.
Sorry, but you can't post this. You are a junior member and under probation. As a Jr, you can not start new threads. You can only reply to existing threads. Even worse, once you make a reply, there a 30 minute wait before you can make your next one. This may seem like a huge inconvenience to you but it's part of how we weed out the undesirables. We figure if you put in the time to get through the probation then you're probably a fan. This restriction will be automatically lifted once you've fulfilled the 30/30/30 Rule.
The 30/30/30 Rule: When you first register you'll be a Jr Member. You will not have access to the member only forums until you are a Full Member. There is a 30 day / 30 reply probationary period. After you've made 30 replies and 30 days have past, your account will automatically be upgraded. In order to keep newbies from spamming the board with 100 crap posts in 5 minutes, during this probationary period you will not be allowed to start new threads and you will only be able to make one reply every 30 minutes. I know this sucks, but just deal with it. Don't bitch about it. It's how we do things and it's how we like it. If you are a fan, enjoy the site and occasionally make a post. The 30 days will be up in no time. Supporter Status: If you don't have time for all that crap, become a SFN Supporter. Supporter status gives you full access to SFN and additional advanced features without the wait. These are the sections of SFN and the added site features that eat up the most bandwidth or consume more of the staff's time, and therefor are too cost consuming to make available to everyone. Things like being able to upload attachments, custom avatars, and private messages. CLICK HERE for more information about becoming a SFN Supporter.
