Who's got sponser???

I ain't got sponsers. I used to be sponsored by TEAM DAD when i was a young fella, but now even he doesn't want to know what i do on two or one wheels anymore.

If you've got sponsers give em props in this thread and give us all tips!

Last week i wanted to walk away from this sport after my crash, ****, I'M LUCKY TO BE ALIVE AFTER MY CRASH!!! But now i think it's more important to dedicate more of my life to this sport after having sacrificed so much to be a part of it!!!

Let us know how to get ourselves known amongst those who support this sport!!! This scene ain't never gonna die, it's only ever gonna get bigger and which companies want to be a part of this???????????????

Re: Who's got sponser???

Sponsors want to know what they are going to get in return for their money/parts or whatever it is they give you (most of the time serious sponship requires some kind of a contract that stipulates how much money or whatever you will receive and then the list of events you will compete or feature in, TV, Video and Magazine features... stuff like that). Start taking photos of yourself and send them into Magazines... enter as many competitions (once they start happening that is) as possible to get some recognition for your skills... get as much footage as possible of yourself and try and get into as many vid's as you can. The more your featured in things... the more the sponsor or potential sponsors will like it... think of yourself as a virtual billboard. Good Luck Hendo... you got some skills, stick with it and you will see some results.

Re: Who's got sponser???

Im in possibly the worst scenario for sponsorship. Being in an island, with a population the size of Parramatta, everyone knows everyone, so sponsorship aint gona bring the sponsors any real kudos. Also, this sport has only started out, you look at the USA and its only after what, 8 years, that they have pro sponsored riders. The biggest set back for me is that, whilst im doing shows, the numbers in crowds are only a few hundered MAX, most of the time maybe less than 100. So, in my case, ill have to get my *** to Melb or Sydney and do shows, if $$ permit. If not, stuntin for me will only remain as a hobby.

Dude if I was earning your money... I WOULD!

I was considering getting another set of forks that could possibly fit and be cheaper... Does anyone know if 919 forks will fit?

Re: Who's got sponser???

Are 929 forks upside downers?? Cause 919 forks are the standard telescopic ones mate. If so, youll need the tripple clamps as well, adding to the cost. Cant understand why the guy who checked the forks said they were stuffed! Forks arent really that complicated, should be fixed, surely!!

Mike_rock, just buy another outer from Honda these can't be more than $400 odd, price em up....I was serious about swaping those forks but its upto you if you want to have 919 triple clamps etc, and normal teloscopic forks, hey they do have Gold valves and 1.1 rated Race Tech springs....its only gonna cost ya $500

Yeah the 929 are upside downers... To fix I have to get uppers and downers... They are bent like a banana! The cost to straighten them out (which wont be 100% and they will be weaker than normal) will be about $100.00 less than getting another set. The front axle got bent too, so I need to get another one of them also... The guy who I took it too is pretty incredible at fixing and creating shocks/forks from scratch (i think he has some kinda engineering degree ) he said he could fix them and what it would cost, but being a nice bloke and not ripping me for my money (which would have pissed me after if I found out I could have got another set around $100.00 cheaper) he recommended I get another set and he said he would recondition and service them for me $70 bucks each... I am not an expert, but that seems fairly good to me! Action Motorcycles charged me like $120 bucks just to change fork seals?? Anyway I will start looking around and hopefully I can find something in good condtion!

Re: Who's got sponser???

Yeah, thanks for all the tips!

Trust me, i'm riding and practicin every chance i get!

What sort of companies do you think we all should approach to get sponsorship? I was thinkin of smaller or undergound type companies, not necessarily those associated with motorcycling but companies which would appreciate what we do and also spread the good word amongst their customers as we spread the good word amongst the underground street-bike scene about their products.

I don't believe our sport is at a point yet where big companies would be interested in sponsorship, but there are many up and coming companies (like us) who may be interested in getting word out there about there stuff!

What ya'll reckon????
