gotta carry the basic consumables...tires, filters, brake pads and such. Be sure to get your accounts set up with vendors, so you know they're set to go before ordering stuff. had a friend that made that mistake and effed up his whole business. As far as a name goes, i'll start thinking. If you need any help with this place I have some small business experiance.

Just flat out tell people when their **** is on backorder. Don't make up random dates for them to show up to pick up their **** when its not ready. I HATE THAT.

call it stunters paradise or something like that. carry the things that stunters break all the time. Like engine covers, maybe get in touch with racing 905 or whoever they are and carry their crash cages and 12 bars.

carry the main parts that stunters break the most, and carry **** that u might think people might need it will take time to figure out what u should carry but soon enough u will know what to have, every one drives different bikes so if ur trying to be an all around bike store then u would do perfect cuz there no store that only carry certian parts for certain bikes, i would try to be an all around part store for everything that stunters ride which is everything, u would get alot of buisness if u had parts for everything, i know i would go there if you had everything. so let me know if ur serious i got some good ideas, lata dogg

yeah, i'd have to agree with stunters paradise too. if you need any tips or advice, i have small and large business experience. so i can help you. if you carry 12 bars, they gotta be pimp as hell and cages.. brake pads, tires/wheels, any other items that we tend to break easily.. proper fluids and maybe you could sell used bikes or have the corkboard on the wall with addys and stuff. but if you cant get ur customers stuff just be straight up. cause i hate goin places too and gettin dicked.. it fu*kn blows.

I'll have to dissagree with all these guys. Don't try to cater a business to the stunt comunity for many reasons. One being it's small time, racing, maintnance and pretty bikes is where the money is. Two being stunters are cheap. They will never pay retail, they'll always be looking for the 'hook up' and they'll always bitch. If you're doing sportbikes, do sportbikes, not a piece of the pie. Take the whole thing. Why not simply name the shop after the group? Real Riderz...or real cycles? Real rides? Real motorsports? i don't know. Hit me up.

Jay's got the right idea. How many case covers will you really sell? Usually kids who cant afford to repair their bikes stunt them. They're not going to pay out. But the majority of the riders out there, hell half dont know about stuntlife, want pretty *** bikes. People are going to ask, who can chrome, powdercoat, fix wheels. You should know who to recommend. People want jackets, clear lenses, huggers, chrome foot pegs. But I would still carry a small line of cages etc for people like everyone here.

you got the right idea. Stock some FI cages and bars, or set up your account with them so you can get the stuff in quick. Stock a case cover or two, just don't dedicate the shop to stunters. And stock up the 50 stuff too. The best way to get business is to put an extra spin on it. Something unique. Prices on most stock will be close to any reasonable place around (though many charge crazy prices). Something to make a customer feel special, like if some random person comes in to buy a bar kit for a 50, you take a few minutes that you're doing nothing, to help them put it on. You can be sure that random kid will tell 20 people how cool it is there, and recommend that people give you their business. When catering to a specific sport such as sportbikes, people love to do the advertising for you. How many times have you heard, "check out such-and-such shop, ask for so-and-so, and tell him you-know-who sent you"

The only way to keep case covers in stock is to buy them from a dealership or ebay and mark them up. You have to be a Honda/Suzuki/whatever dealer to order OEM parts.

There's a place like that here in MI called Recreational Leisure. They have all the really cool stuff that most places only have in catalogs, all in sttock! All the Lockhart stuff, like frame sliders, that guys may need fast in a pinch, as well as all the goofy accessory stuff that people are much more likely to buy on impluse than if they had to order. It's a really cool store.

The only thing bad about that is no one want to pay that price so we are going to have after market parts like lever, case covers, shifters and stuff like that.

Thanks everybody keep them coming

ps. This is going to be the best parts place around !!!!!!!!!

well.. most stunters wont buy from there, simply because most of the stunters have hookups elsewhere, don`t limit your business to the stunt world, unless you have plenty to GIVE, because basically, you`ll almost have to give it away for the true stunters to buy it... good discounts to stuntlife members is a good idea.. 20% off or something... if you decide to make it a stunters wonderworld.. and wanna bring in majority.. main parts all stunters need are, clipons, rearsets, case covers, gaskets, filters, chain, MASSIVE SPROCKETS, cages, 12 bars ,clutch levers and front brake levers!!! you are in for some serious **** if you `re trying to carry all that for all these bikes!
U may wanna start buying from auctions.. and parting out bikes, that would be your best bet for the stunters!!! G`LUCK!

I'm sure you will, but have an online store. Also don't over charge for shipping & handling, that makes it not worth buying a "good" deal product. keep it and sell stuntlife merchandise, that's all i got, oh and follow hessogood and M.I. Xtremes ideas and you'll do pretty good.
