Hey dere buck... it's huntin season!

Okay, okay... I'm sure some of you aren't into hunting as much as others. But, this is my "forum home" and I figure I'd share for those who care.

My buddy Josh and I went hunting for Colorado elk over the weekend. He was actually the hunter and I just tagged along as the camera man. Well, to make a really, really long story short. We were up at 4:30am, in the woods by 5:30am, spotted a herd of elk at 7:15am, got into position at 1:30pm(they were a long way away), Josh missed his one and only shot at the elk around 2pm, and we finally got back to the truck at 5:30pm. We hiked for 12 hours straight over very rugged terrain! Here's the pics:

Some of the sweet views we came across. This hillside was soooo steep, that it took us 2 hours to go up and only 40min to get down.

Josh taking his only shot of the day. If you follow where his finger is pointing you can see the arrow leaving the bow.

Sorry, the tape is back at home now. Besides, I had to zoom in almost half a mile on the elk which were grazing on a hillside. It's pixelated and wouldn't make a very clear pic anywho. Funny you should say "shootin' at trees" cause I watched Josh dig his arrow from the base of a tree for 5min after he missed. He mis-judged the yardage and just shot under her belly.
