This is a sweet shot.... it's the Breckenridge ski trails that I downhill on. All I have to do in order to ride is head down into town and grab the lift up the other side.

A shot of my new front end. I blew the head shox that came with the bike the first time I rode it. I wasn't going to fix it or replace it this summer. I was hoping to ride out the season with a blown front end..... but the downhilling ruined all the internal parts of the fork and it got so sloppy that my front wheel could whobble side to side about 3 inches. Sooooo I replaced it with a Manitou Black fork.

In order to adapt my new fork with my XT calapier, I needed to put on an adaptor. It's the black piece between the calapier and fork. This moved my calapier further away from the hub requiring me to install a larger rotor. I now have 7 on the front and six in the rear.

The fork it's self has 80-100mm of adjustable travel. There's a lock out switch to set it at 80 for climbing hills. There also a tension adjustment as well as rebound and compression. It's rides really smooth.

Okay, last pic. This is the jump I built in my back yard. There's two retaining walls, just past my driveway. They're formed like steps. Just after the last wall, I built a roll in ramp. I cross a flat spot where my neighbors usually park and hit the take off on the other side. The landing is sloped and about 20 feet from take off. It's lame, but I'll always be doing lame **** like building jumps in my back yard.... so what??

If you're referring to the tribal band.... it came with the fork. All the Manitou Black forks have them. It's kinda there symbol or something. That fork is pretty sick. It retails for $500 on jensonusa.com and I found it at a used sports store for $140!!! The thing looks like it was hardly riden. It still had the original caps in the threaded holes for the calapier to bolt on. Which tells me it's never been downhilled because any serious D.H.er has disc brakes.

The Black is a good shock. It was the first one to come with reversed arching. The 7 inch front brake is a nice mod too. I had 8's front and rear and they were too good. The shimanos have a good pull, feels like a street bike.

House looks like a pallace. CVBz Movie premeir party location....
Hope all is well in the... uh... west.
