Teach got a question?

I have a 93 with a blown and I want to drop in a 97 motor I hear everyone telling me it bolts right up? What about the electronics will my 93 stuff work with the 97 meaning plug right in?

I originally posted this on DTE and they said to post it here.
Thanks

yo,

the motor will def bolt right up no problem...as for the electronics, everything should be the same...a 93 wiring harness should work with the 97 motor...good luck, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask anything!

my frame just got welded, she's going back together this weekend!! wooohooooo!!!

hope this helps and i'm sure we'll be seeing each other on the road this year!

GSXR 750 93 is not fuel injected. The 97 is fuel injected! What do you think the wiring harnests are the same?? I'm will to bet they arent!

Well I called the junkyard and they said the wiring harness will not work and the computer or something is different. Does anyone know somewhere I can go online to verify this? thanks

sorry Peach and its 98 gsxr became fuel injected so I was defintely wrong.oops. For the harnest I would say the gague plug in is different the speedo sensor is in the wheel on a 93 and not on the 97 (I believe its on the transmission). for the elctronics The CDI is diffenent so there are alot of differences in the harnests.
Pech I owe you a finger!
